Be it grain, vegetables, stock feed, fertiliser, coal, or grapes, our bulk fleet is equipped to move anything and everything throughout the South Island.

Liquid-based loads can be moved in our sealed bath-tub units, while our blower truck eliminates the need for farmers to provide augers.  However, if an auger is required, we can provide that too, along with a grain-vac if necessary.

At Wilson Bulk Transport we have the equipment and experienced staff to handle all of your bulk cartage needs.

Our spreader fleet includes a mini-spreader, 2 4×4 spreaders and a 6×4 spreader unit.

All of our spreader trucks are equipped with GPS and are Spreadmark certified.  Using Tabula and Whitehead technology for proof of placement ensures fertiliser is placed where it will be of the most agronomic value, with the least environmental harm, and greatest economic benefit to farmers.

We have also added a 4,000 litre dual boom Tow N Fert liquid fertiliser spray machine to our fertliser fleet, which sits behind our Case tractor.  This unit also runs Tabula for proof of placement.

Day or night, weather permitting, we work with our farming customers to schedule fertiliser application at a day and time convenient to them.

Oversized loads, concrete panels, palletised goods, hay, silage, baleage, machinery, water tanks or bulk pipe, our fleet is equipped to transport it.  With 3 flat deck trucks, a curtain-sider B-Train and 2 hiab units available to deliver freight South Island wide, we also have a smaller truck for those urgent local jobs.

Equipped with an on-board blower system, our blower truck eliminates the need for an auger as grain or feed is blown through a tube attached directly to the silo, allowing us to easily unload the unit.

Shipping containers don’t pose a challenge to our container fleet, with trailers capable of transporting 20’ and 40’ hi-cube containers up to a gross weight of 31 tonnes.  Additionally, we have 20’-40’ sidelifters, along with a 10’-20’ tipping semi-trailer to unload bulk containers.

As a MPI Approved Transitional Facility, with NZ Customs Secure Exports Scheme approval, we have the ability to transport and devan import containers on either our Tinwald or Fairfield sites.

We hold a stock of containers, of varying grades, available for either sale or hire and if we do not hold the type of container you require in stock, our container team will endeavour to find it for you and deliver it to your site.

Silo Storage

Our Tinwald depot boasts over 7,000 tonnes of silo capacity, together with a further 5,500 tonnes of available silo storage situated within the Ashburton area.  We offer short or long-term options and can load out bulk grain into containers if required.   In conjunction with Fairfield Freight Hub Ltd, Wilson Bulk Transport can arrange for containerised grain to be efficiently transported via rail throughout New Zealand.

Our Tinwald-based lab facilities offer full milling grain testing services including Falling Number, Protein, Test Weight, Kernel Weight, Moisture and Screenings, or we can offer quick harvest sample testing.

Wheat, barley and peas can be efficiently removed from silos using our grain vac units, plus we have a number of augers available to assist with emptying silos on-farm.
